How it works

How to share a song as a link

Upload a track, decide who can hear it, send one link. Your listener presses play - no account, no app, no download. Here is the whole thing, step by step.

Upload it

Sign in to your studio and drop in the file - MP3, M4A, OGG, WAV or FLAC, up to 100 MB. Give it a title. A line about it, a cover and a genre are optional, and if you leave the genre blank a small classifier on our own server listens to the track and fills it in for you - you can change it whenever. That is the whole form.

Open your studio

Choose who hears it

Every track has one switch with three positions. Public puts it on your artist page and in Browse, where anyone can find it. Unlisted keeps it off every list and out of search engines; it opens only through a link that carries a secret, so the people you send it to can hear it and nobody can guess their way in. Private is not shared at all - no link opens it.

You can move the switch at any time, and an unlisted link can be reset, which quietly closes the old one.

Unlisted or private - which one?

Send the link

Copy the link from the track's share button and paste it wherever your listener is - a text message, an email, a group chat, a post. They open it and press play. No account, no app, no download prompt, no advert in front of the song.

In most chat and social apps the link unfurls into a card with your cover art, the title and your name, so it looks like a track rather than a bare address.

Put it on your own site

Every public track and playlist has an embed button. It gives you one iframe - a compact player - that pastes into any site builder that accepts HTML: WordPress, Squarespace, Wix, a page you wrote yourself. The player links back to the full page, and a play there counts like a play here.

More about embedding

Change your mind later

Flip the switch to private and the page, the link and the embed stop working. Reset an unlisted link and the old one stops while the new one works. Delete the track and it comes off your page while every link to it goes dead; the files are cleared from the server once the deletion is permanent. Nothing you have shared is out of your hands.

Try it with one track

Free, and it takes about a minute. Upload something, set the switch, send the link to one person and watch it play.
